Julia Buckelew – PT, DPT, OCS
After having my first physical therapy appointment when I was just 16 years old, I knew this would be my life-long career. Physical therapy is the perfect combination of social interaction and science. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology from Louisiana State University and received my Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Texas Womens University in May 2016.
Since starting my career, I have practiced at multiple outpatient orthopedic facilities where I have gained invaluable knowledge and experience. In June 2019 I became a board-certified Orthopedic Specialist. I also hold certification in Therapeutic Dry Needling and LSVT-BIG (which helps improve movement quality in those who have Parkinson’s Disease). I have completed a vast number of continuing education courses to better serve my patients and community.
I love working with all kinds of people across the lifespan. I have a passion for improving movement quality to allow your body to perform tasks more efficiently and with less stress/strain. Physical therapy is not just for those who are experiencing pain. If you notice a decrease in your strength, balance, or ability to participate in your usual activities please book an appointment with us. We would love to help you live life to the fullest!
